Title: Etchroom Operator A

Set up, operate and maintain Etch Room equipment. Using customer specifications performs etching process using developed image of part. As needed, provides mentoring/training to less experienced Operators in the safe operation and maintenance of Etch Room equipment. Performs additional lead functions as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Using established maintenance check list, performs routine and preventative maintenance on all etching and stripping equipment by keeping filter baskets clean in etchers, cleaning nozzles and checking for plugged sprayers.
- Set up and operate etch and strip machines.
- Use inspection tools such as optical comparator, calipers, micrometers and drop gauges to ensure proper etching process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Complete understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) including the ability to measure and chart.
- Experience in the use of inspection tools such as optical comparator, calipers, micrometers and drop gauges to ensure proper etching.
- Basic blueprint reading and comprehension.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills and strong reasoning ability.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum of three (4) years related experience and/or on the job training preferably in a Photochemical Milling/Chemical Etching field including basic understanding of manufacturing operations preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
