SUMMARY: 

SUMMARY: Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports as required on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare monthly financial statements, POR (President Operating Report) and year-to-date forecast actual/expect report to be submitted to corporate. Prepare monthly direct labor, headcount, overtime, realization rates reports and year-todate actual Indirect Overhead Rate Summary reports. Prepare monthly sales and profit reports by product group (Navy, Aircraft, Space, Wintec and Multifab). Assist department managers by providing Responsibility Center Performance Report, responding to questions regarding actual/budget variance. Prepare month-end closing activities including collecting data to prepare Journal entries, variance analysis and problem solving reports as requested. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and reports. Maintain the integrity of accounting systems and accounting control procedures. Responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Provide Sales and Gross Profit charts to product group directors and assist with financial charts for the monthly Division Review presentation. Assist with quarterly flash reports, tax provision requests, Foreign Entity Tax Provision information and entered orders by Customer by Month reports to be submitted to Corporate. Provide special audit schedules to auditors as requested.  Prepare annual Budget & Indirect Overhead Rate as well as various year-end reports for corporate (i.e. Year-end Tax Package, Year-end Reporting Package and baseline and five year forecast). Prepare various charts as requested by President Council, Planning Conference and Financial review as requested. Provide annual Incurred Cost Proposal Package to DCAA (Defense & Contract Audit Agency).

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple tasks to completion. Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written, to support effective correspondence with internal and external customers. Proficient in the use of MS Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as SQL and Hyperion.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university; and a minimum of five (5) years of Accounting experience in a manufacturing/job costing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations,

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Majority of work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort. Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.
